Laurie designed award winning gardens for the SF Flower and Garden Show, The Association of Professional Landscape Designers, and the City of Pacifica which was formally recognized by the California State Legislature. After studying soil biology with Dr. Elaine Ingham of the Soil Foodweb Lab in Eugene Oregon and Dr. Carole Ann Rollins of Nature Technologies, she worked for Nature Technologies to restore soil fertility through Actively Aerated Compost Tea and related fertilizers at vineyards, golf courses and landscape contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area and Wine Country. She became a Master Composter for the County of San Mateo, and was certified as a Green Business in 2015. Laurie is a freelance writer and public speaker, a contributing writer for CoastViews Magazine, Pacifica Tribune and Half Moon Bay Review.
